
Suzanne Pleshette, born January 31, 1937, died on January 19, 2008 in the US. She was an American film theatre, television, as well as voice actor. [1] Pleshette started her acting career in the theatre and began appearing in films in the late 1950s. She then was featured in films of note such as Rome Adventure (1962), Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds (1963), and Spirited Away (2001). She later appeared in various television productions, often in guest roles. She also she was Emily Hartley on The Bob Newhart Show from 1972 to 1978, receiving several Emmy Award nominations for her work. Pleshette was the daughter of Geraldine (nee Kaplan), and Eugene Pleshette. She was born in Brooklyn Heights, New York City on the 31st of January, 1937. Her parents were Jewish as were the descendants of immigrants from Russia, Austria-Hungary. She was the daughter of Geraldine Rivers, a performer and dancer. Her father was the stage manager at the Paramount Theater, Manhattan, as well as the Paramount Theater, Brooklyn.
