Paula Patton (born in 1960) is an American actor. She also has produced films such as Mission: Impossible: Ghost Protocol. Born into a middle-class family living in Los Angeles, she harboured many dreams in her early years. Instilling a passion for film in her daughter was something that she learned from her mother who was also a fan of movies. Paula participated in co-curricular school events, and she was especially interested in drama. Paula enjoyed acting with her friends, and she participated in school stage performances. After performing in several performances at the high school of Hamilton Magnet Arts High School, she decided to make acting her occupation. She was enrolled in at the University of Southern Calif's Summer program and enjoyed it immensely. The program awarded her a 3-month contract making documentaries for PBS. When she finished her three-month task successfully, her first job was in the field of production for television documentaries. When she was done with her work then she began putting together documentary films. While she was awed by the work she was doing however, she always wanted acting roles. She began her journey into acting with a role as Will Smith's co-star in romance comedy Hitch. In the years since, she has been on many TV and film programs.
