Arianna Huffington

Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington, a Greek American businesswoman and syndicated journalist, is also an author. She founded The Huffington Post and the chief executive officer of Thrive Global. Author of fifteen books. Arianna Huffington is an independent liberal news website and a television host author, author and an philanthropist. Originally from Greece, Arianna Huffington moved to England together with her family around the age of 16. At Cambridge University she earned a MA qualification in Economics. At 21 she became president of the famed debate club The Cambridge Union' and was the first non-native student to do so. Following after her college graduation, she became a prominent Conservative syndicated journalist. In the years later she created The Huffington Post which featured critiques of the current political scene. The fame of Arianna led to the recruitment of a variety of renowned contributors. Arianna's popularity began in 2003, when she declared herself an independent candidate for the California recall vote to replace then-Governor Davis. Alongside that, she was also the leader of an initiative in Detroit initiative to promote fuel-efficient vehicles. Forbes named her as one of the "most powerful woman" in the media industry, placing her at 12th. Guardian placed her on their list of 100 most important media figures in 2009. AOL Inc. named her president of their media group in 2011 following the purchased The Huffington Post. The Huffington Post included the other AOL brands like Engadget, AOLmusic Style list as well as Patch Media. Elli Stasinopoulos is the daughter born to Konstantinos the manager's advisor as well as journalist. Although she had a close relationship with her mother and father but it was their connection which shaped her. Even in her formative age she demonstrated her leadership skills for which she's still known. When she moved to England, she was 16, to pursue her education and was enrolled into Girton College Cambridge. While in college she joined the debating society Cambridge Union where she became the first foreign president and was also the third female president. In 1972, she graduated with a Masters in Economics. Following her degree, she was a columnist-critic and TV host. Also, she appeared on the series Face the music along with Bernard Levin and began writing books, utilizing editorial guidance from Bernard Levin.
