Sheryl Underwood is an American comedian, TV host and actress famous for hosting The Talk, a popular talk show on daytime. The Talk. Sheryl Underwood was born and raised in Arkansas and was raised within Little Rock, Atwater and Atwater. Sheryl comes from a family who has suffered from a range of issues. She spent the majority of her growing up taking care of her younger sister Frankie who suffered from the disease of polio. While growing up, Sheryl had many problems with her mom. Sheryl claimed that at one point her mother had stabbed the father of her child due to her proximity to her. Following her college graduation Sheryl became a military officer. She was interested in comedy. She was the first woman in history to reach the top in the Miller Lite Comedy Search contest. Her TV professional career began in 1992 as a performer for the HBO comedy series Def Comedy Jam. She was the host of the TV show Oh Drama! in 2000. Since 2011 she has been hosting as a co-host of The Talk, a talk show. The Talk. She's been in programs like Bulworth Nikki, Beauty Shop and others.
