The birth of Anya Taylor-Joy took place the 16th of April, 1996, in Miami Florida. Dennis Alan Taylor was a former banker. Jennifer Marina Joy worked as a Psychotherapist. Her father was an Argentine and has Scottish and English heritage. Her mother comes from Spanish as well as English heritage. Taylor-Joy's siblings are four of her father's former marriage. After being in Buenos Aires for six years, the family relocated to Victoria. Taylor-Joy said the relocation was traumatic, and refused to study English as she wanted to be able to return to Argentina.
